The
Boys Next Door were known in their day as 'The Beach Boys Of The
Midwest.' This wild Indianapolis combo sported candy-striped threads
and sang about cars and girls (not in that order). And the group
recorded consistently fab singles for a long list of cool labels.
The early 45's (under the moniker of The Four Wheels), rank as the
most striking rip-offs on the Wilsons EVER (plus, besides the cars
and dolls, they rave it up wildly with a classic ode to suds, "Cold
45"!). Soon renamed The Boys Next Door, the guys issued even
more incredible singles-all of 'em great garage/pop records, part
sweet, part punchy, all perfect. Sundazed has now collected an entire
disc of these guys-22 booming tracks, including 6 previously unissued
sides, vintage radio spots, loads of photos, and much, much more!
