Often
sharing stages with Southbay legends like the Syndicate of Sound
and The Chocolate Watchband, the E-Types were actually from Steinbeck
country the lettuce fields of Salinas. But their Beatles-fueled
three-part harmony could only have come from rock and roll heaven.
Introducing The E-Types, their long-overdue debut album,
features singles, unreleased studio masters and rehearsal sessions,
as well as stunning live material. Live At The Rainbow Ballrooom
shows the E-Types at the peak of their powers in 1966, adding mesmerizing
versions of classics by the Yardbirds, the Beau Brummels and Bob
Dylan to live renderings of their own powerful arsenal of original
material. |
