The Beavers

With their eye-catching Mohawk hairdos and pounding Top 10 cover of “Chantilly Lace,” Nova Scotian quintet the Beavers managed to keep the British Invasion at bay throughout much of Canada in 1964. Shortly later, the band would morph into the raging, kilted Great Scots, sign to Epic, and cut the future Pebbles classic “Show Me the Way,” as the Free-for-All, for the Challenge label.
