L.A. hard-psych outfit Quatrain released only one obscenely rare self-titled LP, which was recorded with future Neil Young producer David Briggs in the booth. But from 1965 to 1969, Quatrain was a regular attraction on the Southern California scene, working as the house band at the popular Topanga Corral and up and down the Sunset Strip with acts like the Byrds, Love, and the Buffalo Springfield. With its heavy, wah-wah-soaked sound, Quatrain is sure to be a head-banging hit with fans of Iron Butterfly, Frijid Pink, and Vanilla Fudge.
